Indoor Antenna Hookup to Back of Convert Box Problem?

I can't seem to get the end of the indoor antenna line to fit into the opening of the back of the converter box. Has the sizing changed over the years? This antenna is about 8 years old. Or am I not pushing it hard enough to get the little pin/needle in the center to fit? Or am I just needing to get one of those DTV antennas? Not too checked out on the new technology here.

This might be tough for you, but it should work. If I get you right the pin/needle you refer to is actually a stiff single strand of wire (center of the coax). Sometimes the shielding around it prevents it from going in as far as it should and may need to be trimmed. Look at it carefully while you try to insert it and see if the insulation around the stiff wire is preventing it from going in further. Estimate about how much you may need to trim and use wire strippers or a sharp knife and strip the insulation back a bit. Be careful not to break the wire, as you'll probably have to buy a new one.
