Here are some more information for Camaro Rear:

So it's not as quick as the Ford Mustang; so it's not as sleek as the Chevrolet Camaro. Who cares - it's American muscle, so what's not to love? Here's an ovation to '70s retro, and to the Dodge Challenger.
The Dodge Challenger debuted in 1970 as the twin of the renowned Plymouth Barracuda. It was the epitome of the pony car aesthetic: long hood, short rear deck, blunt-nosed grill and aggressive hood scoops. Owners could choose from an astonishing cornucopia of options, colors, trims, fobs, and nine engines, the most famous of which was the 426-hp Hemi. In its first year, 84,032 Challengers were sold. The second year, due to loss of interest in muscle cars and increased emission regulations, only 29,883 Challengers were produced. In subsequent years, the one-hit wonder faded from memory, and the apathetic 1978-1982 Japanese Dodge Challenger merely nailed the coffin shut.
Resurrected in 2008, the Dodge Challenger blesses streets with its balanced fusion of strength, panache and deftness. As a bulky five-seater coupe, it offers three trims: an unappreciated SE; popular and powerful R/T; and an over-the-top, pure blazing speed SRT8.
SE
Powered by an apathetic 3.5-liter, 250-hp V6 leaking out 250 lb-feet of torque, coupled with a five-speed automatic gear box, the $23,000 SE is the wanna-be muscle car of the trio. The feature roster is sufficient but unimpressive. Besides regular amenities, the SE has an eight-way power driver seat, a 60/40-split folding rear seat and a four-speaker CD/MP3/audio jack sound system.
R/T
Labeled as the best buy of the three, the $31,000 R/T is powered by a whopping 5.7-liter, 376-hp V8, capable of 400 lb-feet of torque. A five-speed automatic transmission is standard, while a six-speed manual is optional. The R/T offers sport-tuned suspension and steering, exterior elements like automatic headlamps and foglights, and leather-wrapped interior bric-a-brac.
SRT8
Check out the $41,000 SRT8's 6.1-liter, 425-hp V8 thrusting out 420 lb-feet of torque. Transmission options are the same as the R/T. Interior features include leather upholstery, heated front seats, premium sound system with Bluetooth, keyless ignition, and a performance meter that measures criteria like acceleration and lateral G-forces. On the exterior: twin black stripes, dual hood scoops, sport-tuned suspension, Brembo brakes, automatic xenon headlights and heated side mirrors.
A wealth of options and packages add to the madness. A multimedia package, a navigation system, 13-speaker sound system, performance tires and equipment, Mopar accessories and more are all available.
Performance & Handling
While most enthusiasts bemoan the SE's somewhat droopy performance, all laud the R/T's impeccable racing style, and many revere the SRT8's tire-shredding speed. The Challenger is more powerful but less agile than the competing Ford Mustang and Chevy Camaro. The SRT8 trim easily keeps pace with the Camaro SS and Shelby Mustang GT500.
Fuel Economy
Power must come at some cost, right? EPA mpg estimates are 17/25 for the SE, 16/25 for the R/T and 13/19 (automatic) for the SRT8. These estimates are slightly lower than competitors.
Safety
NHTSA granted the Challenger five stars for frontal and side crash protection and four stars for rollover protection.
Reliability
US News & World Reports in conjunction with J.D. Power and Associates gives the Challenger a 6/10 reliability ranking.
But who needs high mpg? This is American muscle, and it's time to shred and split.

The Camaro
The Camaro was introduced in 1967 as a competitor to the Ford Mustang. On June 28, 1966, General Motors held a press conference that would be the first ever to connect 14 cities by telephone lines. It was announced that GM would be producing a new car model named "Camaro", which was said to mean a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs. The first generation Camaro went on sale in dealerships on September 29, 1966. It was designed with rear wheel drive and the GM F body platform. You could choose from a coupe or a convertible. Since the Chevrolet Corvair had been criticized because of the rear engine design, the Camaro was made with the same rear-drive, front engine set up as the Mustang. This first generation model lasted from 1967 to 1969.
There were four generations of Camaro offered over the period of 35 years before Chevrolet took a break with the model. The second generation Camaro lasted from 1970 to 1981. It was very similar to its predecessor except it was much heavier because of the new larger, wider design. The 1971 SS350 was chosen by Road and Truck Magazine as being one of the top ten best cars on the planet.
The third generation Camaro was in production from the year 1982 to 1992. This model was the first in the Camaro line to offer fuel-injected automatic transmissions. It also boasted 16 inch wheels, a new hatchback body, and a standard 4 cylinder engine. In 1985 one of the most popular models of Camaro was introduced, called the IROC-Z. Also in this generation the 20th Anniversary Edition and the 25th Anniversary Heritage Package were up for grabs. Beginning in 1991, the "police" package became available.
The fourth generation Camaro was available from 1993 to 2002. The 93 model still had the same 2+2 seating and the choice for a coupe with an optional t-top or convertible style. A new, more powerful motor was introduced first as an option in 1995, and then became standard in 1996. Anti-lock brakes were standard in the Camaro as well in this generation. Unfortunately, due to a decrease in demand for sporty cars production was halted in 2002.
Confident of a comeback, production on the fifth generation of Camaro was approved in 2006. In the spring of 2009 the newest Camaro was introduced. It is offered as a coupe only in 3 different models; LT, LS, and SS. The LS and LT models are equipped with a 3.6 L V6 engine with either 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic with manual shift transmission. The SS is equipped with a 6.2 L V8 engine with 6 speed manual shift. There is an optional RS package available for the LS and the SS models.
The Chevrolet Camaro has a rich history of success in the car industry. You can find the Camaro everywhere. They’re on the street and on television and movies. As an example, in the 2007 movie Transformers, the Autobot Bumblebee starts out as a second generation 1976 Camaro but becomes a 2009 Concept Camaro.
So whether you like sporty, beautiful cars or just want to be the owner of an American icon, the Camaro is one of the best cars to choose from. There is well over 40 years of design and perfection invested in the Camaro, making it one of the best you can get.

What is needed for a 1990 camaro rear axil replacement?
I was wondering if I could use any rear axil from a V6 camaro, or if I would Specifically need one from the 1990-92 models due to the horse power increase. Please no remarks on how that car should just be replaced with another car, the car has a lot of value to me, it's more than just money too me, it's part of my life, so keep your comments to yourself.
You will be fine with any rear axle from any 1982 - 1992 Camaro or Pontiac Firebird - V8 or V6 doesn't matter. They are all the same length, brackets, etc. The only difference was between 9 bolt axles and 10 bolt axles - the 9 bolt axles were offered on the earlier cars with performance packages, they had positraction differential units in all of them. But the 9 bolts are getting hard to find, and replacing parts in them is getting very expensive. The 10 bolt will be fine, from any year 1982 - 1992.
Not sure what else you're looking for in an axle. There will be single traction (one wheel spins) and positraction (both wheels spin), and there will be gear ratio differences. There is only one true way to know what you have - open it up and look. The gear ratio's will be stamped on the ring and pinion gears inside, and you'll just have to get someone that knows what posi looks like to show you.
If you're looking for a more performance oriented positraction unit, a manual trans car is a good place to look - they usually had 3.42 ratio gears - not drag strip gears (3.73 or 4.10), but good power for the street without sacrificing too much mileage on the highway. V8 cars equipped with TBI units (RS models from 1988 to 1992) mostly had 2.73 gears and no posi.
You can also look at the 1993 - 2002 model year cars - same rear axles again, only slightly longer (about 1 3/4 inches each side) - this will make your factory wheels stick out a tad, but not too bad - and many of these cars had posi units in the rear ends - I put a 2002 rear axle in my 1992 Camaro. The only issue is brakes and wheels - 15 inch wheels will not clear the LS1 or LT1 rear disc brakes from the 1995 and up models - you'd have to get 16 inch wheels and a new spare.
Hope that helps - it's a direct swap from 1982 - 2002 (except the rear disc brake issue) - takes about 3 hours in the driveway.
