Here are some more information for Camino Gmc:

In order to answer this question we must first look at the reasons for our current situation in the marketplace. It is estimated that the current capacity issues(less freight with more equipment) started sometime around the middle of 2006. No one was too concerned at this at the time as there have been steady fluctuations felt throughout the year and traditionally things seemed to almost come in somewhat predictable cycles. Some assumed that the market place was just simply correcting itself after 4 years of higher rates and pricing from the carriers. However, the slump continued to worsen and by the 3rd quarter of 2008 freight demand seemed to begin to dissipate at an even higher rate and some of the largest trucking companies began to struggle financially. Many professionals that had been in the industry for a large part of their lifetime said what they were witnessing was the worst freight downturn that they had ever seen.
It is clear now that what has led to these issues both on the manufacturing side and trucking side is the current U.S. economic crisis. The worst industries hit have been the housing and the automobile industry. Their inventory levels have remained high and shippers and manufacturers are simply not seeing these levels shrink at the volumes they were accustomed to. Freight carriers have seen the volume of freight drop significantly due to this weak economy and the lack of building and manufacturing. As we begin the 3rd quarter of 2009 it is looking less likely like this trend will suddenly correct itself and some are now saying we will most likely see a more noticeable upward trend in 2010.
It is the simple law of supply and demand. If capacity is taken out of the marketplace faster than demand falls then the pricing and financial stability would begin to come back. But for now demand is still less than the capacity in the marketplace. Many trucking professionals believe that when the economy does begin to recover that the capacity that has been forced out of the marketplace will lead to increased demand by the shippers thus allowing carriers to capitalize. One common thing you hear from professionals in the trucking industry is that those who survive will be in a better position than ever before.
No one can say with any real certainty when the economy will rebound, whether it is in late 2009 or deep into 2010 is anyone's guess at this point. Most indicators point to a recovery over the next year. With that said, shippers should be looking now at their carrier portfolios and make sure it consists of solid financially strong carriers (small or large fleets) who are not simply going to leave them in search of greener pastures when the conditions change. Shippers should start to consider locking in pricing for the next year and beyond if possible. Most importantly building relevant relationships and having an open dialogue about the current and upcoming market conditions will carry the most weight. There can really be no such thing as a "partnership" because when it comes down to it you are still the customer and the carrier is still the vendor invoicing you. However a relevant relationship that is truly consultative and beneficial to both parties will ultimately win out.
1950’s Chevrolet Cars versus the 1950’s Ford Cars
The cars from the 1950s were truly style icons. From the shapes to the engineering, General Motors and Ford crafted innovative designs that are still admired by many. Attend any classic car show and you will see many models from the 1950s. There is something special about these vehicles.
Rivals as American carmakers
Ford and General Motors each had the goal of determining what American consumers wanted in vehicles and trying to be the first company to deliver that product. The philosophy of “I can make that better” became commonplace among carmakers. The American consumer benefited from the intense competition between the two automobile giants. Pricing was affordable while style was high. Chevrolet Cars Pictures along with their Ford counterparts were seen in print ads in newspapers and magazines.
Chevrolet Bel Air
- In 1950, 74,634 Bel Airs were sold and Chevrolet regained its position over Ford as market leader.
Ford’s response to Bel Air: Crown Victoria
The following year Ford unveiled the Custom Victoria. It outsold the Bel Air in 1951 by 7,000 units. The engineering of the Custom Victoria include an innovative pillarless superstructure. Ford car pics of this model show superbly clean lines. This combined with a posh interior and good performance with a flathead V-8 propelled this model to eclipse the Chevrolet Bel Air.
Ford’s Ranchero
Ford beat Chevrolet in the rollout of the Ranchero model. Considered a “crossover”, the Ranchero appealed equally to car and truck drivers. It displayed utility features while offering comfort ability. Old Ford Car Pictures of the Ranchero was a two-door wagon with the rear section of the roof taken off and a bedliner placed in the floor plan.
Chevy’s reaction: El Camino
GM’s counterpart to Ford’s Ranchero was the El Camino. Among Vintage Chevrolet cars, the El Camino is very unique in appearance. Using an integrated pickup box, a sedan was morphed into a pickup.

El Camino value?
I have an '86 El Camino. Currently, it's been painted purple, and it has a carb'd 350 from a GMC 1 ton van in it, mated to a TH350 trans. I payed $1700 for it. I've seen original El Camino's go for $7,000 on ebay and higher. So my plan is to get a TBI 305(it's original engine), and paint it the original colors, and try to sell it for much more than i payed for it. Do you think an original el camino would sell for more than one that has a 350 in it and is purple? Do you think my plan is a good idea?
i'm not saying i want to try and trick people, i just don't think they'll care as long as it has the original stuff in it...you know?
Well, sure, if you are selling to an inexperienced buyer. You can't just repaint it with the original colors and expect someone to fall for it. If you want to know how much it might sell for go to kellybluebook.com.

Not only will these flooring mats guard your carpet from mud and exterior particles, but you won’t have to be anxious about foods stains, drink spills or grime from tools. Your vehicle will seem a lot much better with the flooring mats, even though guarding it at the identical time. The variety of protection that would work greatest for a truck that is getting applied for heavy duty function would be the thick rubber floor mats. These rubber mats resist stains quite properly, and are not tough to clean; they can be rinsed with h2o hose as long as you clear them whilst spills are refreshing. Right after hosing them down and letting them air dry or drying them with a towel you’re all set to set them again inside your truck.
