How do you open up the hood to a 92 chevy cavalier?

My grandmother bought me a old beat up 92 cavalier as a car. I don't know how to open the hood. It seems to be missing the latch pop lever on the inside of the car. Does this car come with one or do I have to reach up under the car an try to find the actual lock? any help would be great. Im really ready to get started trying to work on my project car.

yes it should have a release lever in the vehicle you might check right next to the drivers seat and under the dash and around the kick panel of drivers compartment if its in none of those places it has been removed. if that is the case i would suggest contacting the seller to find out if they know what the "trick" is. if not you will have to find a way to get up to the left side of the hood latch and manually release it
