This a view from the cockpit of Airbus A340-500. now the question is how far back the marshaller has to stand from the aircraft in order for the pilot to see him from head to toe. in other words how far in front of the aircraft is the blind spot for the pilot and he can not see?

if you cant see him, he cant see you, and vice versa.

just walk back until you can see him, and take a few more paces back for him to see your whole body if need be. bear in mind, your hands will do the communicating, and they will be above your head, so bear in mind, if he can see your face, he will sure enough see your arms.
