If you have the experience of going on a vacation with one of your family members permanently attached to a wheel chair then you will know what I mean when I say, it is double the trouble.
Not only do you have more than you can fit in your car, but you also have the additional burden of a person who has to be lifted in and out every time you make a stop.
It will surely double the time in which you are supposed to reach your destination.
This means, you have less time to enjoy and more time getting your dependant in and out of your car. So, just think, if you would not have to do this time and again how much comfortable it would be?
Well, so get a wheelchair lift van and get rid of the extra hassle. Everytime you make a stop, the lift will smoothly bring the disabled person out and then back in with only the touch of a button. However you have options of buying a van lift or renting one.
Save money, get the rental
The rental price that is usually put on any wheelchair lift van is nominal. Usually, they are rented at such low prices that you will not even feel your purse lighten after you pay the rent.
In fact, you will happy to know, they provide the same quality performance as any bought one.
Since, you require it only for the duration of the vacation so, this is the best idea. Within a few weeks your need will be over and then you will manage fine without the lift.
In fact, you will be having double fun with lots of space available for everyone to sit rather than get crammed in a car.
Even your disabled member will have fun as they will not feel like an unwanted burden over others.
Get the insurance at all times
Nowadays wheelchair lift van rentals come with insurances against them. If your rental is not offering you one, then pay them extra and get them to cover your insurance.
We all think that we are good drivers but mistakes are a part of human life. You never know what is to come and it is better to be prepared rather than being in a crisis. So get the insurance done for your wheelchair lift van rental.
Get the van insured and get to the vacation in a safe and happy mind. All is taken care of and you can enjoy with a blast.

North Shore Toyota Dealer Committed To Restoring Customer's Confidence
Toyota officials are working hard at damage control and asking dealers to step up and reassure customers that they plan to make good on their pledge to fix the glitches and improve things for the future. Dealers at North Shore Toyota are doing just that. They want customers to know that Toyota is still a reliable company and is offering quality, efficient vehicles.
In recalling over eight million vehicles across the globe, Toyota says it will make things right with the brake system problems and accelerator issues. Whether Toyota owners believe this is still tough to gauge, but from interviews and blog postings it would seem many of them plan to stick with Toyota, the brand they and their families have trusted for years. Your Chicago certified Toyota dealer asks for the opportunity to prove the reliability of Toyota vehicles. Toyota stated, "History shows that great companies learn from their mistakes. That's why all 172,000 people working for Toyota and our dealers are doing more than ever to make things right for our customers for the future." The company further states that it is "confident that no problems exist with the electronics in our vehicles" and has done massive testing to ensure the system is running smoothly.
Toyota was examined closely during recent congressional hearings. The focus of the hearings was on whether or not Toyota had waited too long to issue recalls on its models with defective braking systems and sticking accelerators and also whether the National Transportation Safety Board was lax in not calling Toyota on the carpet for the 52 deaths connected to these recall issues.
Secretary of Transportation Ray LaHood thought the new braking system being installed by Toyota to override the accelerator in the case that it sticks should be something included on all vehicles manufactured in the United States. Whether this means kudos for Toyota is hard to say, but it must mean the company is pointed in the right direction. Visit a Chicago certified Toyota dealer to see some of the new directions the company is headed in, such as the new Prius Plug-in coming later this year.
Although changes will not happen overnight for Toyota and its vehicle fixes or changes in law which might be a result of these hearings, one senator suggested reviewing current vehicle safety laws to determine if they need to be updated or tightened. North Shore Toyota customers are urged to contact or visit their dealer with any questions or concerns. Toyota President Akio Toyoda has recently opened up about recall issues and what is being done to fix them. He reiterated the company's pledge to meet customer needs and do what is necessary to right the wrongs. Chicago Matrix dealers will be right there, opening their service departments and welcoming customers old and new.
Customers visiting their Chicago Matrix dealer can look forward to many exciting new models and some leaps in technology. As long as Toyota keeps its word on the recall fixes and rolls out its highly-anticipated green car models on time, customer loyalty shouldn't take too big a hit.

Did these celebrities arrive in....?
chauffeur driven limos or did they car pool to "save the planet"?

Did anyone see a Prius pull up to the red carpet? How many arrived in Los Angeles by way of a private jet? Or did they fly commercial? Were all those hot lights "energy efficient bulbs" How much of the planet did they really save? Wasn't this just another "mutual admiration society" event?
Yes
They drove there in their hybrid S400 Mercedes (that gets 18 MPG instead of 12MPG from the more wasteful S60)
Then they drove back home to their 15,000 square foot "bungalow" with 12 air conditioners and a staff of servants
Review: Toyota Prius i-Tech (2009 ZVW30)
Thrifty and spacious, the Prius is the most refined hybrid we've driven thus far. Despite its impressive tech swag, including the ability to park itself, the i-Tech doesn't come cheap.
