I have an orion starblast 6 with a focal length of 750mm.Can I see the rings around saturn?

Im thinking about buying a 5mm widefeild 68 deg. eyepeice.That coupled with a x2 shorty barlow lens will give me a magnification of 300x,the max for my scope.
Can I see saturns rings without the x2 barlow?

It would not be in your best interest to push the magnification to your telescopes limit. Viewing conditions would need to be absolutely perfect and your equipment would need to be more towards the more expensive stuff (Televue products), to do that.You'll also probably need one of those nice 2 speed focusers to help with the focusing. I know this because I have a 10" Skyquest dob (1250mm focal length) and 130mm Vixen reflctor (750mm focal length), with among others, the Meade 5.5mm series 5000 eyepiece (60° fov) and the Orion 5.1mm (55° fov), ED eyepiece. I rarely use these 2 eyepieces because of the issues I've mentioned. I do get great views of Saturn using my 9.5mm ED un-barlowed with my Vixen telescope. This combo gives me 79X which I'm very pleased with. I also purchased one of those shorty barlows and wasn't very happy with it and is now another one of my rarley used items. If it is possible for you, join an astronomy club and try out other members eyepieces with your Starblast to see what the diffenrences are and see what you prefer. I did this and the members were very supportive and willing to help.
