What gives with car antennas? Help.

Ok, so i want to buy a Stubbie antenna for my truck. It says it takes 30 seconds to install, but then i read online that i have to reconnect the antenna wire to the new antenna? Can't i just unscrew the old antenna and screw in the new one?

yea well i can get an adaptor to make it fit.

The only way that you can just screw and unscrew is if your stub antenna has the exact same threads as the old one. More then likely they don't so you will have to change out the component that the actual antenna screws into.
