back pain!!!!?

i am 19 years old when i was 17 i got in a MINOR!! car accident just a few scratches on my rear bumper the other guys car was a little f***ed up (bumper bent, headlights broke grill broke) there was 2 others in my car i was driving i was the only one that got hurt. the accident was 1 1/2 year ago still in pain, i am going to the chiropractor for it but still. sometimes its really bad, like right now the upper back is killing me, the muscles are hurting so bad and there are bumps went i try to press it (i'm guessing thats what a knot is) i have one of the swiss ball things and i use that but what other stuff can i do? it hurts bad

Other than the chiropractor, you don't say what other doctors you've seen or what test you've had. Have you had an MRI? Have you been to an orthopedic? If it was that long ago you shouldn't still be having pain. Something is wrong and you need to get it checked. I believe in chiropractic treatment, but not for the long term, as in your case. What you need now is to be evaluated by an orthopedic. It may be as simple as physical therapy, but you can't know until you've had the proper tests. The issue of compensation is not as important as the issue of your health. If you don't have insurance and you get compensation then use that money for your health care. If you waste it now you could really regret it later, when your health is really suffering and you can't work.
