Here are some more information for Valance Air:

It is nice to get away for a vacation! You work toward this moment all year long. You have sacrificed, saved, and now its time. You are in the moment and enjoying every second. It is wonderful to get out of the heat, play in the ocean, visit family and friends, breathe in the fresh air of the mountain pines, and fish in the fresh water streams, shop until you drop in new undiscovered surroundings, and eat in unfamiliar restaurants. Everything fresh and new!
Wow! you think. Where did this year go already? It is July. Soon the kids will be back in school and before you know it, the holidays will be upon us! Eek!, You have not even started planning for that. It seemed so far away... but so did summer! Now it is right around the corner, in fact it is lightly tapping on your door. You had better pay attention. There is much to do.
This would be a great time to change some of your older windows and doors with newer, more modern flair to update the look of your home. Remember that article you saved comparing replacement windows that also had a great section on replacement window reviews for you to gain ideas and gather data before you buy?
Maybe you have been thinking about a type of renewable energy and you are starting to pay attention to what is energy efficiency and what is not. You have read and heard much this year about energy efficiency tax credits and there are many tips and examples of renewable energy that you want to research a bit farther.
Throughout your travel this summer visiting the different Inns, hostels, restaurants and clubs; you have probably come up with some great ideas for interesting window treatments, too! Did you see some designer cornices or valance ideas that you just knew you must have when you get home?
Remember that quaint little restaurant where you were seated among those beautiful bay window designs? And the cute little bed and breakfast with their wonderful metal window awnings? Is that the one that had the fantastic curved curtain rods and shower curtain over the claw-foot bathtub and the soft turkish towels that felt so good against your slightly sunburned body?
And remember the Inn on the lake with all their stain glass patterns in the windows? What a delight it was after the hike to the lake to do a little fishing and gathering wild berries along the stream. It was so inviting and relaxing, was it not? Designers blended the old and new with period furniture and contemporary bamboo floors, halogen track lighting, and modern small bathroom vanities that added such a delicate balance to the room. Didn't it make you feel like you were living with your own personal spa? YES! You can duplicate that in your own home.
Soon the kids will be back in school and you will have lots of time on your hands to get started on your home renovation projects. It is not too early to start. Remember, everyone wants everything done before the holidays; so the mad rush begins and the back-logs start stacking up.
You will be happy you invested the time and energy. Besides it will be a great time of "oneness" that you can use to reflect on what a wonderful year it has been so far! If not, at least a time to count ones blessings for all the good we have in our lives, how fortunate we are, and broaden our sense of self worth. We can all use a little of that, can't we?
Whether you need home insulation recommendations, bathroom linen cabinets, window coverings for bay windows, a claw-footed tub shower curtain, glass folding door, wall lighting fixtures, a source for the best replacement windows, custom drapery or custom window treatments, shutters, or simply how to make a valance; you will find the help you need and ideas galore by consulting with an expert. Usually your designer or window treatment expert is more about the entire home rather than just the windows.
Experiment with your favorite colors and textures; and try something you saw this summer! Welcome change, embrace it and stretch the limits. The technical challenge you take on will give you a sense of accomplishment that will put you in the brightest spotlight (where you should be!) when you are finished and ready to show off your newly revived home.
The time is now. Keep in mind the amount of time it takes to get something done. You know the drill; six to eight weeks for this, One month backlog on that, two month back order on this product, and the proverbial line of "we already have five jobs ahead of you", etc. It all spells the same thing: WAIT! Perhaps the fact that Thanksgiving is just a little over four months away should put a little pressure on you to just get moving.
Make sure you get your home up to par by starting your plan now. You will be glad you did when you have all the time you could possibly want to shop and decorate before Aunt Helen comes for Thanksgiving, and the kids return for Christmas; instead of worrying about what you should have done this summer to freshen your home!
If you don't know how, don't want to know how OR tackle it, want to tackle it with guidance, or know how and just don't want to; there is always a professional ready to assist you in any capacity. Just take a look in your neighborhood first. It has been a tough couple of years for the "mom and pop" businesses around the country. You don't want to see more vacant stores, do you? So shop and use professionals in your neighborhood whenever possible. It will help the economy around where you live and play, and let them know you are doing your part to keep them there. Show you care!

Door Curtains Help Insulate Your Home! Learn about Energy Efficient Curtains
Door curtains can play a major part in adding extra insulation and keeping draughts out. Whether its the main front or back door or even just room to room, a door curtain will certainly help to keep the heat in and the cold out, which in turn will help to make your house more energy efficient and therefore reduce fuel costs.
It is usual to have a single curtain (rather than a pair) for a door and eyelets on a pole are often the best option as you can have less fullness in your curtain so that it does not take up too much space when drawn back open. You will find it more practical to stack the curtain back at the hinge side so as not to interfere with the operation of the door.
We would definitely recommend a thermal lining to best cut out draughts and a bump interlining will increase thermal insulating properties of the curtain by trapping air inside the curtain.
Whilst all our fabrics are available as single curtains, suitable as door curtains, our cotton velvet is still very popular for this purpose. R@zz has been recently introduced into our stock range and it has a higher thermal insulating characteristic than even our traditional heavyweight cotton velvets and has the added quality of being almost impenetrable to light.
Bearing in mind that cold air stays close to the ground, you might prefer to measure your door curtain to just rub at floor level or even to 'pool' on the floor by anything up to 8" (20cm) and act like a traditional draught excluder.
Save money and stay warmer with energy efficient products throughout your home.

What type of tape is best to use to keep curtains closed?
What is the best type of tape to use to keep curtains closed in the middle?
There is a lot of cold air coming in from the door/windows that these curtains cover and I think it would be helped a little bit more if I taped the opening of the curtains in the middle to create a better seal against the cold weather. Basically, its a heavy set of curtains but they are older and the curtain and valance don't hang as well as they once did, so the curtains aren't as flush as they should be.
Anyway, I want to close off the middle to help trap that cold weather better. I figured I could tape it. But I would want a removable tape that works on fabric, nothing permanent, would want it to be able to come off almost as if it wasn't there.
What type of tape should I get and where can I buy the tape (if possible, use a national chain as an example, i.e. Michael's or Home Depot)?
I would try a double sided tape, available at Staples, Office Depot, probably even Wal-mart. You can peel it off when you're done with it.
There may be stronger tapes available at Home Depot, but I'm not familiar with them.
You might even try velcro with the double sided tape.
