how would black mo951 moto metal 18" inch wheels look on a black 1989 jeep wrangler yj?
i have a 1989 jeep wrangler yj, im gonna lift it 6" inches and put 35x12.50x18 on it but i dont know if the wheels i like will look good. if any one has any comments or any pics especially, please answer!!! thanks
Sure they will look ok but probably shouldn't see any big boy trails.
It has been done and There is a lot of them for sale used(for some reason). But I like to run the big boy trails and that usually means some new rims every 1-2 years.
But if you have a mall crawler then hey why not.
Fully inflated your going to have like 6" of rubber to absorb shocks. But if you air them down to say 8psi(15"wide tire or your running off the rim as the bead will break)you may have a issue.
Like I said they will be ok in the street. But, get in some deep mud your going to score that surface to the point where it will look very bad.
Hey you do plan on beefing up the hubs/axle in some way right? The added weight will add a lot of stress.
I looked and couldn't find pictures of a yj with moto's but a little photoshop and the pictures on ebay will give you a nice image.
goodluck
Underappreciated
1. Watching David Reutimann, who has stood as one of the Cup series' most underappreciated drivers, outduel Jeff Gordon and hold off Carl Edwards at Chicagoland was a win for someone outside of the same core of Victory Lane drivers. But it also got me thinking: as undervalued as the self-effacing Franchise has been, he's far from the most underestimated wheelman on the circuit.
